Working at Cafe de Crown I was charged with a lot of responsibility and often opened or closed the bar on my own or with a colleague.During a shift my task consisted of welcoming and sitting the clients as well as taking orders and preparing them immediately. This allowed me to practice my time management and organizational skills.I cultivated relationships with repeat customers which by engaging in friendly conversations, memorizing their names and orders to promote loyalty. My other responsibilities included booking and organizing events and parties, during which I worked as a bartender. I was also tasked with training new staff members and making sure that the team remains harmonized.
During my exchange in Rome I took part in a Legal Clinic, which was aimed at providing advice in the area of migration and asylum law. As a student I was assisted by a team of professional lawyers to uphold a the best standard of legal advice. Together with other students I listen to the stories of people struggling with the migration system and helped them draft their testimonies for the court hearings or other legal documents. This experience taught me how to approach people with an unbiased mindset and allowed me to practice harmonized teamwork.
In my free time I love to cook delicious food at home and read books. I also enjoy road cycling and participating in pub quizzes with friends.
