FINIX space project

Thorough engagement with the cubesat space project FINIX along with a team of students from the department of Aerospace Science and Technology of the University of Athens. The teams objective is to develop innovative and cost-efficient solutions for space debris mitigation and provide them to the Aerospace community. FINIX' first mission takes place on the ESA's Fly Your Satellite program where a drag sail deployment mechanism is developed over a 1.5U cubesat which is designed and assembled in-house. Personal active involvement on the main bus design as well as the drag sail's deployment mechanism which was selected for the March 2025 test window of Fly Your Satellite! Test Opportunities in ESA's facilities in Belgium.
