Argyris Oikonomopoulos was born in Athens, Greece, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He further specialized in Support and Interventions for Attention Deficit and/or Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) through a certification program by Unicert in collaboration with the University of Piraeus Research Center. Additionally, he completed a seven-month Intercultural Education seminar at the University of the Aegean.
Mr. Oikonomopoulos earned a Master’s Degree in Special Educational Needs from the University of East London and has been working as a Special Educator since 2017. His experience includes teaching Greek language to refugees through the Metadrasi NGO in Tavros (2018). He also provided special education support at the Specialized Speech/Language and Counseling Center of Kamatero, Athens, before joining ACS Athens as a Shadow Teacher for one academic year. He later served as an OLP Aide at ACS Athens for two academic years (2020-2022).
Currently, Mr. Oikonomopoulos is working as a Shadow Teacher at ACS Athens for the 2024-2025 academic year. His expertise lies in special education, individualized learning support, Greek teaching and inclusive teaching strategies in a classmoor setting
I enjoy chess as a hobby for its strategy, challenge, and mental exercise, appreciating both tactical and strategic aspects of the game.
