Senior Health Economist

Summary

Experienced Health Economist with a demonstrated skill set in economic analysis, consulting, and people management. I have hands-on experience in all aspects of the HTA process: as a researcher at an ERG, where I reviewed submissions; as a consultant, where I developed them; and as a project lead, where I managed projects in their entirety.

I have extensive experience as a project manager for large-scale and complex projects involving multiple workstreams. My primary objectives are to:

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with my clients
  • Provide data- and strategy-driven consultation
  • Ensure a high standard of quality in all deliverables
  • Develop my team’s skill set and fuel their passion
  • Serve as a source of support and expertise for all involved parties

In my current role, I have led various analytical projects for both HTA submissions and other market access purposes. I am proficient in all modeling methodologies (cohort Markov, patient-level simulations, and dynamic transmission models) and related programming languages (R and VBA).

Some examples of my work include:

  • Leading the development of a patient-level simulation model that incorporates registry data to predict outcomes using continuous variables
  • Leading the development of a novel R-Shiny model for internal and external communication of evidence by the client
  • Leading the development of a dynamic transmission model assessing antimicrobial resistance in Gram-negative bacteria
  • Managing multiple teams and workstreams as project manager for cost-effectiveness and budget impact models across a range of disease areas
  • Supervising multiple direct reports and actively participating in their training
  • Developing internal training materials and coaching junior staff and graduate trainees
  • Acting as the key point of contact for strategic and technical consulting in projects outside my direct portfolio
  • Leading large portfolio projects within the global HE setting, supporting HTA activities across multiple countries
  • Driving business development efforts from start to finish, including proposal scoping, writing, negotiations, and team assembly
