Dr Pano Kroko Churchill, is a seasoned Angel Investor and veteran VC, with four decades of Venture Capital experience. He has started his career as a business & communications software developer, and he continued as a serial StartUp entrepreneur, an inspiring Company leader, and a simple philanthropist.

Dr Churchill has contributed to the early stage StartUp ecosystem, through his leadership of the American Angels network of Business Angels and Early Stage Investors, who collectively have assisted to the creation of more than a thousand companies, organizations, and social enterprises.

Dr Churchill, has led scores of Startups starting with the earliest phase of the enterprise software era, and on to the internet and communications convergence, while continuing to develop Startups in the software and telecommunications arena to this day.

Dr Churchill has worked with enterprise software giant Microsoft and with many other Seattle area companies such as Amazon and Adobe, for the development of young enterprise units that solved complex business problems and streamlined the processes that run our business economy.

Indeed, Dr Churchill is a true believer that enterprise software and software in general, solve common complex problems because all business software and public software projects share a “common good” approach for efficiency, streamlining and profitability. And that is what Dr Churchill has always promoted because a software product based StartUp, is always at the core of Innovation today.

Dr Churchill’s counsel, support and due diligence – have been primarily responsible for the success of the American Angels network of Startups entrusted in his care, by offering counsel, deal-sourcing, and direct Venture Capital investments in software technology, science, and medicine. Naturally, these efforts have led to important democratizing technologies such as the Wi-Fi community-sized wireless networks now prevalent throughout the world, and to the open source software batches, that are cohabiting our machines with the enterprise software that runs our lives, our companies, our economy and all of our governments.

This software approach is the “glue” that develops and supports the ecosystem of the interwoven lattice of private, office, and technological lives.

As an example, we look at the community Wi-Fi network that was first started in Seattle through the “Seattle Wireless” company that Dr Churchill founded, and the related local community non-profit, known as Seattle Wireless. This public Wi-Fi community has been the standard model of Wi-Fi intelligent swarms of network nodes coalescing together in a giant Wi-Fi network that resembles a “murmuration” of birds in synchronized flight. This model has served well all over the world and in many great cities it functions as the default local network.

Dr Churchill has also used this principle of swarm-type communication & enterprise software, when he co-invented the Green Bonds, and deployed this method of community based Environmental Finance, for the funding of large scale renewable energy projects through the support of Green Equity investors acting in Unison with a common purpose.

Dr Churchill is a prolific author, having written plenty of enterprise and communications software code, along with some 27 books, hundreds of articles, thousands of blog posts, and even a few film scripts.

Today Dr Churchill maintains his edge, through the Venture Capital support of a number of companies, whose creation is being supported by the Advance Life Science Venture Capital company he helms.

Dr Churchill led the Startup Innovation Master-Class, that has been offered at the world’s major engineering Universities, such as Stanford, MIT and Harvard, as well as University of Washington and Tsinghua University in Beijing. He has always advocated for the efficiency that the implementation of proper software processes and the internet of things will bring to our Energy production systems that will allow us to save many trillions of tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, and thus minimize the Greenhouse gasses and their effects in warming up our atmosphere.

That is why environmental enterprise software Startups, will lead the way for the rapid decarbonization of our economies through Technological Innovation.

Dr Churchill’s Startup Master Class, his personal Green and Environmental innovations and his American Angel Venture Capital investments over the years – have created many distinguished green and sustainable Environmental Startup companies that went on to become profitable and well known enterprise software startups.

Dr Churchill is recognized as a leader of people, and is also the founder of the Churchill Think Tank that is a forum of influencers who accept the principle that innovative Startup ideas always have been responsible for the “acceptance” and assimilation of progress in our societies.

Dr Churchill is one of the main founders of the global Environmental Parliament, and its long time President.

He has led many business Startups into profitable exits, and many of them into Wall Street IPOs. Several non profits, Bcorps, as C-corps for the public good have been created under his stewardship, up until this time.

He has been well aware of the difficulties in the space of early stage Startups and that is why he often helps mentor all Company Founders with a few words of encouragement, direction and decisive leadership in choosing the right path forward – and this happens to be the most important tool for Startups today.

At present time Dr Churchill is acting as Chairman of i-Freud, that is the new public benefit company that is building a psychological network that allows us to connect to a larger non-invasive matrix of people caring for each other and offering positive psychological boost via Mobile App based Talk Therapy with little cost and without sacrificing privacy or efficacy. It is a global brain of sorts, with an emphasis on psychology.

Dr Pano Kroko Churchill believes that we are always getting closer to our ideals of progress through technological innovation, and through the software that empowers our lives and our enterprises.

Defined by his charities and philanthropic works, Dr Churchill’s charitable giving increasingly defines his life and legacy. He champions the cause of human rights in an environmentally stressed world, and that is the Innovation that always wins his heart.

Dr Churchill, used enterprise software to quantify Carbon emissions and the carbon velocity of our Economy, and that led to the 10:10 campaign for CO2 reductions in the UK, in Europe and in the United States. The enterprises that participate in this Carbon reduction campaign are the ones that led the world of Business, Commerce and Banking to the “Paris Agreement” which resulted in a global movement for Greenhouse Gas emissions reductions.

More than a thousand great companies, and one hundred and twenty seven countries have signed onto the Paris Agreement as of today, with more scheduled to follow.

Dr Churchill envisioned the 20:20:20 campaign that has now become European Union Energy and Environment policy. This European Union Environmental Policy has now created a 20% reduction of CO2 emissions for the whole of Europe.

It is now a well known fact that by providing 20% of Energy from Sustainable Clean & Renewable resources such as wind, solar and marine energy we all benefit by reaching the 20% carbon emissions reductions that allow us to reach the Climate stability goal of only 2 degrees of Celsius in global warming.

Today this aspirational 20% reduction of CO2 emissions has become the EU standard and has also been codified as a rule of Law for all 28 European Union member countries.

As an Angel investor and as the co-founder of Green Capital, Green Bonds, and the Green Bank of UK, he is responsible for billions of dollars in equity development and in the growth of the Green Economy.

Some of his socially impactful interests are also great business ventures, such as geo-engineering, solar tech, micro-grid, alternative energy creation technology, world mobile communications, and mobile banking for social good. In particular, he donates 100% of his general partner profit from his ventures to the environment and humanitarian causes.
