- Responsible for monitoring compliance with the provisions of the capital market legislation when securities are offered to the public and/or admitted to trading on a regulated market, such as the Athens Exchange, mainly by: (i) reviewing of prospectuses for public offerings and/or admission of securities to trading, according to Greek National Law and EU legislation (Regulations, Guidelines etc), and reporting conclusions of the review to the Board of Directors of the HCMC; (ii) ensuring compliance of supervised entities with regulatory disclosure requirements and enforcing procedures aimed at investor protection and greater market efficiency; (iii) investigating formal allegations of capital market legislation violations; and (iv) making proposals to the Board of Directors regarding imposition of administrative or criminal sanctions against entities that violate capital market legislation
