As a resident specializing in general medicine, I have completed the following rotations, gaining valuable experience in various medical specialties:

• Internal Medicine (40 weeks): During this extensive rotation, I immersed myself in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of medical conditions, honing my skills in patient care, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning.
• Health Center (12 weeks): I gained hands-on experience in primary care settings, focusing on preventive medicine, health promotion, and management of common health issues within the community.
• Neurology (4 weeks): I had the opportunity to assess and manage neurological disorders, including stroke, epilepsy, and movement disorders, under the guidance of experienced neurologists.
• Ophthalmology (4 weeks): This rotation provided exposure to ophthalmic examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities for various eye conditions, enhancing my understanding of ocular health and disease.
• Cardiology (12 weeks): I participated in the evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, including cardiac assessments, diagnostic tests, and cardiac interventions, furthering my expertise in managing cardiac conditions.
• Ambulance (4 weeks): Working in the ambulance setting, I gained experience in emergency medical response, trauma management, and pre-hospital care, preparing me to handle medical emergencies effectively.
• Psychiatry (12 weeks): I developed skills in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, collaborating with mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with psychiatric disorders.
• ENT (4 weeks): I learned about the diagnosis and management of ear, nose, and throat conditions, including otorhinolaryngologic examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical interventions.
• Dermatology (4 weeks): This rotation focused on the assessment and treatment of dermatological conditions, including skin examinations, dermatopathology, and dermatologic procedures.

Currently, I am undergoing training in Surgery, where I am gaining experience in surgical techniques, perioperative care, and surgical management of various conditions.

These rotations have equipped me with a diverse skill set, allowing me to approach patient care with a comprehensive understanding of medical conditions across different specialties. I am committed to leveraging this experience to provide high-quality, patient-centered care as a specialist in general medicine.

During my 40-week Internal Medicine (Pathology) rotation, I had the privilege of working in the Covid Department under a dedicated Covid contract. In this role, I served as a frontline doctor, actively involved in the diagnosis and treatment of Covid-19 patients.

Key Responsibilities and Achievements:

• Diagnosis and Treatment: I played a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of Covid-19 cases, utilizing my medical expertise to assess patient symptoms, interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Patient Care: With a focus on providing compassionate and comprehensive care, I attended to the medical needs of Covid-19 patients, monitoring their health status, administering medications, and addressing any complications that arose during the course of their illness.
• Collaborative Approach: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, I collaborated to ensure seamless coordination of care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, I demonstrated adaptability and resilience, swiftly adjusting to evolving protocols and procedures to deliver effective care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

My experience in the Covid Department not only enhanced my clinical skills and medical knowledge but also instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and commitment to serving those affected by the pandemic. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the fight against Covid-19 and support the health and well-being of patients during these challenging times.

I dedicated 8 weeks to a voluntary internship at the Psychiatry clinics of Balıklı Greek Hospital in Istanbul. During this immersive experience, I had the privilege of working alongside esteemed professionals in the field, gaining invaluable insights into psychiatric care and treatment methodologies.

Throughout the internship, I actively participated in patient consultations, treatment planning sessions, and therapeutic interventions, contributing to the multidisciplinary approach to mental health care. Additionally, I had the opportunity to observe and learn from a diverse range of cases, further enhancing my understanding of psychiatric disorders and their management.

My time at Balıklı Greek Hospital not only enriched my academic knowledge but also instilled in me a profound appreciation for the complexities of mental health and the importance of compassionate care. This experience has undoubtedly shaped my professional journey and fueled my commitment to making a positive impact in the field of psychiatry.

I engaged in a voluntary internship for a duration of 24 weeks at the Second Psychiatric Clinic for General Psychiatry and Addiction under the guidance of Prof. Stoychev. This immersive experience provided me with an extensive understanding of psychiatric care, particularly in the areas of general psychiatry and addiction medicine.

During my internship, I actively participated in various aspects of patient care, including assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions. Working closely with Prof. Stoychev and the clinical team, I gained firsthand experience in diagnosing and managing psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders.

During my 6th year of medical training, I completed a comprehensive internship program encompassing various medical specialties. This immersive experience provided me with invaluable hands-on training and exposure to diverse clinical settings, preparing me for the challenges of professional practice.

• Surgery (10 weeks): I assisted in surgical procedures, learned surgical techniques, and acquired knowledge in preoperative and postoperative care, contributing to my proficiency in surgical disciplines.
• Pediatrics (6 weeks): I cared for pediatric patients, focusing on child development, common childhood illnesses, and preventive healthcare, fostering my ability to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to children and their families.
• Hygiene, Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology, Social Medicine (7 weeks): This rotation provided insights into public health practices, infectious disease management, epidemiological principles, and social determinants of health, broadening my perspective on community health initiatives.
• Emergency Medicine (3 weeks): I gained exposure to acute care settings, emergency procedures, and triage protocols, developing critical thinking and decision-making skills essential for managing medical emergencies.
• Optional Internship (3 weeks): During this period, I pursued specialized training or focused on areas of personal interest, further enhancing my clinical skills and knowledge.

This internship year was pivotal in consolidating my medical education, refining my clinical acumen, and preparing me for the responsibilities of a healthcare professional. I emerged from this experience with a strong foundation in clinical medicine and a steadfast commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

In August 2016, I participated in a summer practice program that provided exposure to various medical specialties, enhancing my clinical skills and knowledge.

Rotation Details:

• Obstetrics & Gynecology (1 week): During this rotation, I gained insight into obstetric and gynecological care, including prenatal examinations, gynecological procedures, and labor and delivery management.
• Endocrinology (1 week): I had the opportunity to delve into the field of endocrinology, focusing on hormonal disorders, diabetes management, and thyroid conditions, furthering my understanding of metabolic health.
• Neurology (1 week): This rotation offered exposure to neurological assessments, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities for various neurological conditions, broadening my knowledge of the nervous system and its disorders.
• Pulmonology (1 week): I explored pulmonary medicine, learning about respiratory diseases, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic interventions, while also gaining practical experience in pulmonary function testing and interpretation.

Throughout these rotations, I engaged in patient care under the supervision of experienced physicians, honing my clinical skills, and developing a deeper appreciation for the complexities of medical practice. This summer practice experience was instrumental in shaping my career path and solidifying my commitment to excellence in patient care.

• Surgery (2 weeks): During this rotation, I participated in surgical procedures, observed surgical techniques, and assisted in preoperative and postoperative patient care. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of surgical practices and patient management in the operating room and surgical wards.
• Internal Medicine (2 weeks): I engaged in comprehensive patient care under the supervision of internal medicine specialists, focusing on the diagnosis and management of various medical conditions. This rotation allowed me to develop proficiency in medical assessments, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning across a wide spectrum of internal medicine specialties.
