undefinedGeneral aspects of responsibilities as a technical manager:
- Maintain a close personal knowledge of maintenance, condition and operation of the vessels and advises/co-operates, with on board personnel, to ensure that the vessels are operating efficiently.
- Monitor and evaluate the technical performance of the ships and initiates corrective actions, when such performance does not meet with the Company's standards.
- Ensure that all vessels are maintained in compliance with applicable national, international and Classification society rules and regulations and company's management system.
- Develop and promote awareness to all seagoing staff, of the need to operate the vessels to the highest standards and ensures that all surveys carried out by the Class, PSC, USCG, RIGHTSHIP etc, are successfully completed, with the proper preparation from the crew.
- Assisting the DPA in the monitoring of the implementation and maintenance of Company's SMS, TMSA KPI's targets, RIGHTSHIP GHG Rating & CII Monitoring etc. as well as preparing fleet compliance with new Regulations such as EU MRV/FEU , SEEMP and IMO 2020.
- H&M Claims, Voyage Performance claims, Fleet performance evaluation.
Vessel Operation aspects:
- Ensure that the Company's PMS is effectively implemented.
- Monitor and evaluate the technical performance of the ships and initiates corrective actions, when such performance does not meet with Company's standards.
- Review and evaluate all technical problems, major defects, and breakdowns reported to the office and follow up, until the corrective actions are verified. - Dealing with major Hull and Machinery claims, in co-ordination with Managing Director.
- Plan and follow up renewals and updating of classification and statutory certificates and personally attend surveys, as necessary.
- Ensure that the vessels are inspected by the Company in accordance with relevant procedures and evaluates all feed-back information received from such inspections.
- Monitor and follow up all lube oil, chemicals, spare parts and equipment purchases for the ships.
- Approve purchase of all orders with respect to spare parts.
- Follow up navigation, radio and bridge equipment performance of all ships.
- Ensure safe and correct working conditions on board and in the head office.
- Hull & Machinery Insurance claims with respect to Technical related failures.

- 10 FLAG ADMINISTRATION INSPECTIONS (Panama, Marshall Islands, Liberia) (Attendance from Office side)
- 15 SUPERFICIAL INSPECTIONS (Oil & Chemical tankers and Kamsaramax Bulk Carriers)
- 2 NEW DELIVERIES (two Product Carriers)
- 80 DRYDOCKINGS including ship repairs due to accidents.
