• Ensure the safe and environmentally sound operation of the bulk carrier fleet.
• Propose, evaluate, develop and review Company's Safety Management System Policies, Procedures, together with the departmental heads and subject to GM approval.
• Monitor HSEQ aspects, KPIs, and effectiveness of SMS (ISM, ISPS, MLC)
• Handling the preparation, arrangement and follow up of all internal & external audits of the managed fleet
• Following up ISM, ISPS, MLC related matters with RO/RSO and flag administrations (Cyprus & Liberia)
• Analyze inspection results of the ships' Vetting (RIGHTSHIP), PSC, and other third-party inspections, follow up on deficiencies and prepares annual statistics and trends.
• Follow up on developments related to International Rules and Regulations and industry requirements.
• Prepare and present Annual Management review action plan to BOD.
• Coordinate and lead incident investigation, prepare investigation reports, distribute lessons learned to ship and shore employees, analyze results to identify trends and define countermeasures.
• Leading the Company’s preparation for DBMS.
