As a part of the animation team, I was spending quality time with the kids in the kids club, preparing and organizing the weekly activities for them. I was making sure they were having a good time, whilst keeping them safe in a clean and nice environment. I was also interacting with the parents, explaining them the policies and answering their enquiries.

I was participating in adults animation including fitness and night activities such as aqua gym, karaoke, music quiz and bingo.

I have been working as a freelancer since 2019 for various agencies and positions including translating, subtitling, editing, Digital Copywriting and MTPE editing and tutoring foreign languages online.

I have also translated literary books for a prestigious publishing house.

Among others, I am a poet with published work and recognized contribution to my field.

I was ensuring that the projects run smoothly throughout every stage of the project circle, creating workflows and assigning every phase of the project to the right linguist.
I was communicating with vendors as appropriate
whilst using CAT Tools (MemoQ), Plunet’s Translation Management System, Microsoft Office.

I was responsible for the translation of the leaflets for the public about the history of Durham Castle and the Oriental Museum as well as for the updating of the Museum website. As part of our project, I wrote an extended essay elaborating and reflecting on my role, expectations and outcome from the placement.

I was operating the tills, supervising the self-scan checkouts, whilst ensuring that the customers always
were feeling welcome and enjoying their shopping experience to the fullest.
I was always striving to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain high professional standards at all times,
whilst finding quick and effective solutions in an extremely busy retail environment.
