During the 2020-2021 season I was a member of ARISTURTLE Formula Student (FS) team based in Thessaloniki, Greece. Every year the team's goal is the design and manufacturing of an electric race car. Also during that season, we built the first driverless car in Greece.
My role in the team was Aerodynamics Simulation Engineer and I undertook several projects:
The overall difficulty of the tasks above was that the design window was only 3 months with two people as a workforce (starting from a "back of the napkin sketch") and the manufacturing window 4 months with 3 people as a workforce.
We managed to complete all the tasks in time for the competitions of Formula Student Austria and Formula Student East (Hungary), where we secured an overall 8th place with the electric racecar and 4th with the driverless.
Being a member of the team, cultivated cooperation and respect for my fellow colleagues. In addition, I became familiar with the basic ideas and working principles of an electric racing vehicle, while respecting the strict FS Rules.
Seasons 2021-2022 and 2022-2023: Worked closely (as an alumni) with new members, helping them with novel concepts and overall understanding of the racecar design process
